Interview with editors Dominique Dattola and Philippe Rigaud.
In 1986, Claire Frédéric published the first biography of Manosque poet Lazarine Nègre (1848-1899) with Alpes de Lumière.
She then set to work on a sequel devoted to the Provençal-language correspondence between the Muse du Mont d’Or and the Master of the Félibrige, Frédéric Mistral.
Claire Frédéric passed away in 2015, leaving a substantial but unfinished body of work to which the team at Editions de La Bregandaio (Dominique Dattola, François Malabave, Felip Rigaud and Renaud Arrighi) have devoted a year of meticulous work, in order to publish a bilingual, well-documented work: Une Histoire de Plumes, published on April 2, 2026.
