A planisphere-pendulum that undulates in response to external forces, solar motifs engraved in marble, strange maps tracing ancient channels between the living. So many quasi-archaeological and ornamental fragments of a place with vanished borders, and in which we still live. Through these forms, Patrycja Plich creates a dialogue between different languages, symbolic systems, and geographical contexts. Her work moves between bodies of knowledge, territories, and imaginaries, with the languages of geopictoriality blurring the conventional divisions between nature and culture, biology and history, living matter and inert matter.
