Suspects – Van Gogh, tricksters & co

Inspired by the anthropological figure of the “trickster” – a mocking, subversive character present in the myths of all civilizations – the exhibition brings together works by 32 disruptive artists. They enable art to fulfill one of its major functions in modern society: to set convictions in turmoil, to replay what seems taken for granted, to broaden our field of consciousness, to explode conventions. Their attitude, as it endures from the end of the 20th century to the present day, is at the heart of this exhibition.
