The “Social Bachata Meet Up” Latin dance festival invites international artists to teach classes to all festivalgoers, including a “Jack & Jill Meet Up” social dance competition.
“Meet Up,” which originated in Poland, was created in 2017 by two Polish artists who came up with the idea of organizing a competition to promote social “Bachata” dancing, enable dancers to improve in a supportive environment, enriching themselves through sharing and building connections on the dance floor: the true joy of dancing together!
This competition is a game in which dancers who don’t know each other are paired by random draw and must adapt to one another to create the most beautiful, connected dance.
“Meet Up” is the name given to a festival that now takes place in several European countries, including France exclusively since 2025. Dancers from various countries, who have qualified throughout the year, gather at the World Social Bachata Finals in Warsaw every November to compete for the title of “Social World Champion.”
Open to all dancers of all levels, ages 16 and up (accompanied or with permission), from beginners to advanced: it’s the event you won’t want to miss.
On the program:
– 21 international artists,
– 20 hours of workshops (dance classes),
– 1 Jack & Jill Meet-up competition (open to spectators by reservation only),
– Evening events,
– Prizes to be won!
This dance festival is a gathering of passionate dancers, an invitation to discover Latin dance, and a rich opportunity to share within this community, all in a spirit of camaraderie.
