As part of European Heritage Days,
the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur Chamber of Trades and Crafts and the Arles-Crau-Camargue-Montagnette Urban Community are organizing the “Rencontres des savoir-faire” in partnership with the City of Arles.
The second edition of this public event will once again take place at a historic site, the Cour de l’Archevêché, in the heart of Arles’ historic center. It will bring together local heritage-focused businesses and artisans, whose quality and expertise will be showcased through demonstrations and presentations: stone carving, mosaics, artistic ironwork, woodworking, furniture restoration, and tapestry… These artisans work on the restoration of movable and built heritage, as well as the construction or rehabilitation of historic buildings that may be protected as Historic Monuments or located within a Remarkable Heritage Site.
Come discover these trades and chat with the artisans who practice them—sometimes right in your own neighborhood—during a fun, immersive, and informative day out for the whole family!
