The Camargue Olympics bring together the gardians from the three invited manades—Agu, Clément, and Lescot—for a competition that celebrates their expertise and Camargue traditions. Throughout the various events, they must demonstrate skill, mastery, and a deep bond with their horses during iconic demonstrations such as the “saut de cheval à taureau” (jumping from horse to bull), the “ferrade en piste” (branding in the arena), the “saut de cheval à cheval” (jumping from horse to horse), and the “attente aux fers” (waiting with the horses’ hooves in the irons).
