Through the figures of Van Gogh, the writer and art theorist André Malraux, and the filmmaker Jean-Luc Godard, as well as installations by 11 contemporary artists, MOISSONS explores the ways in which artists gather, categorize, preserve, and transform the images, references, and memories that fuel their work.
Featuring works by:
Dennis Adams, Jean-Michel Alberola, Tolia Astakhishvili & Dylan Peirce, Patrick van Caeckenbergh, Ryan Gander, Jean-Luc Godard, André Malraux, Matt Mullican, Kevin Osepa, Fiona Tan, Tatiana Trouvé, Gaspar Willmann, and Vincent van Gogh.
As an artist-in-residence at the Foundation, Kevin Osepa has created an installation that brings together a selection from the Van Gogh collection, two of his own original paintings, and his own work, exploring the theme of resurrection and the metamorphosis of artworks from one artist to another.
Designated an “Exhibition of National Interest” and exceptionally supported by the French government—the Ministry of Culture,
the exhibition MOISSONS – The Imaginary Museum: The Spirit of Artists is part of the André Malraux 50th Anniversary celebrations for 2026–2027.
