Synopsis:
Nestled at an altitude of 1,600 meters in the tiny hamlet of La Gurraz (population 35) in the Haute Tarentaise region lies France’s smallest school: eight students ranging from kindergarten to the final year of primary school, sharing a single space for learning and community life. The film follows these children, their sole teacher, and their families through the seasons and the school year as they face the same question every year: will the school close due to a lack of students?
