Anne Clergue Galerie is pleased to present the exhibition “Lucien Clergue: My Essentials, Selected by François Hébel” from July 5 to October 3, 2026. François Hébel, former director of the Rencontres d’Arles, has selected the forty photographs he considers essential to the photographer’s body of work. This is a very personal way of paying tribute to him through the various themes explored by Lucien Clergue throughout his career. This retrospective brings together images of Gypsies, street performers, and the Camargue—along with carrion, sand, and nudes—not to mention Cocteau and Picasso, the photographer’s faithful companions along the way.
