As evening falls, notes dance in the air, laughter resounds, and everyone savours the moment, with family or friends, over a packed lunch or a tasty dish to enjoy on the spot.
A magical, festive summer interlude on the banks of the Rhône, with talented musicians… and the joy of being together.
Program:
8:45pm – Upright – Funk, pop & soul
Incandescent funk, vibrant soul and a touch of pop – that’s Upright’s signature! Nurtured by the burning heritage of the 70s, this supercharged collective crafts a warm, organic sound that’s tailor-made for live performance, distilling infectious swing with a resolutely contemporary energy. On stage, the ten musicians bring a powerful show to life, driven by dazzling brass and lively vocals. Propelled by their feverish rhythms, each track embraces the audience and becomes a joyous invitation to let yourself be carried away by the music and, above all, to groove!
Sofiane Bichet (lead vocals), Luc Chassagnac (keyboard), Julien Marocco (bass), Louis Hammerer (drums), Karl Socasau (guitar), Mélanie Castagnol (backing vocals), Gali Bichet (backing vocals), Juliana Duclos (backing vocals), Rémy Tranzeat (trumpet), Arthur Contaux (saxophone)
10:30pm – Balani Sound System – Afro- electro
Balani Sound System propels the balafon into a resolutely contemporary dimension. At the crossroads of West African traditions and electronic music, the trio invents a hybrid trance, vibrant and irresistibly danceable.
Carried by the energy of African cabarets and dancefloors the world over, their chords cross time and borders. Between ancestral rhythms and electro textures, the group fashions a retro-futuristic universe where the balafon becomes a groove machine.
On stage, the experience is immersive: hypnotic pulsations, percussive flights and communion with the audience. An invitation to let go and join in the dance.
Patrick Senellart (balafon dioula, bwamou, vocals, percussion), Brahima Sanogo (balafon, djembé, vocals), Jérôme Pupier (beatmaker, electro-ambiance, vocals)
