Throughout the weekend, festivities take place in the bullring and throughout the town, which offers a whole palette of colors, flavors and rhythms with its many events. The highlight of the feria is the goyesque bullfight.
It was in 1970 that Pablo Picasso painted Le Matador, the work that inspired our 2023 Feria du Riz poster, part of a series of a dozen paintings on the theme of bullfighters.

As every year, the Goyesque d’Arles will blend different artistic aspects, and musical accompaniment will play an important part in the success of the show.
The Feria also takes to the streets! Abrivados, bandidos, encierros and capeas are just some of the bullfighting events that will punctuate your weekend.
