South America, Spain, Eastern Europe and France are the influences in the repertoire of Guillaume Franceschi, alias Guillermo, who blends styles and techniques with virtuosity. Trained in classical guitar and contemporary music, Guillermo spent two years in Andalusia to learn the art of flamenco.
Guitar teacher and sound engineer in his own studio in Arles (Studio Franceschi), he transmits music within the Label Andalou association with the aim of training, merging and creating links between traditional and contemporary music.
Mateo Campos is first and foremost passionate about the art of flamenco. A self-taught singer, he draws inspiration and personal interpretation from his Andalusian roots and his love of flamenco. “Cajonero” and percussionist, he trained first with Nîmes maestro Thierry Aubry, then in Jerez de la Frontera, a city emblematic of Arte Flamenco, with percussionist Pedro Navarro. Co-founder of the group Calle Flamenca, he is currently preparing a new album and tour.
Guillermo y Mateo is pure “duende” that speaks to the Camargue. So come and join us on March 21 to enjoy the sounds of these two artists!
