Every summer, the Peplum Film Festival transforms the Ancient Theater of Arles—a UNESCO World Heritage Site—into a one-of-a-kind open-air movie theater. Over the course of six evenings, audiences are invited to rediscover the great figures of antiquity and legendary heroes through a varied program combining peplum classics, popular films, and epic adventures.
This 39th edition will also feature discussions with filmmakers and experts in cinema and history, as well as the traditional “Apéro-rencontres” and “Ciné-clubs” that precede each screening.
As a long-standing partner of the Arelate Festival, the Peplum Film Festival has established itself as one of the must-see cultural events of the Arles summer, combining heritage, cinema, and a warm, friendly atmosphere in an exceptional setting.
