What if each encounter opened up a new path? Par la suite is a succession of contemporary dance duets that explore the possible extensions of an encounter. Powerful impact or simple touch, tension or lightness… we move forward in the fragile balance woven by the multiplicity of our relationships. This creation sets in motion
the invisible links that run through us. A lively, sincere dance, where bodies brush against each other, converse and confront. A collective creation by dancers from Atelier Saugrenu and Lise Lopez. Music: Anna Caragnano & Tom van Wee.
Synopsis:
Following a decree from Caesar, Joseph and the pregnant Mary travel from Nazareth to Bethlehem for the census. Forced to stay in a stable, Mary gives birth to Jesus. Alerted by the Magi that a Messiah had been born, King Herod ordered the massacre of the newborns. Warned in a dream, Joseph and Mary fled to Egypt.
After Herod’s death, they return to Nazareth in Judea, still under Roman rule and governed by Pontius Pilate. Jesus is baptized in the Jordan and, after forty days of fasting in the desert, meets Simon the Fisherman, who becomes Peter, his first Apostle.
