From July 7 to October 5, 2025, Lee Ufan Arles and Maison Guerlain present Something Moves by Caroline Corbasson, winner of the second Art & Environnement prize. The exhibition will be on view at Atelier MA.
Born in 1989, Caroline Corbasson is a Franco-Canadian artist who explores the infinitely large and the infinitely small, creating works that blend science and the imaginary. The proposal for the Art & Environnement prize, entitled Something Moves, gives rise to a body of work comprising oil paintings, drawings, videos, photographs and poetry. The work presented at Lee Ufan Arles revolves around the observation of the wind. His broader attraction to the sky animates many of his series, and unfolds here in an introspective dimension.
“The residency provides ideal working conditions, in terms of time and space. It’s extremely precious, because I was mainly short of time. In two months, I feel I’ve created more than in a whole year. Being able to communicate, during this period, with Lee Ufan’s work, which I saw every day as I walked around the Fondation, was a stroke of luck. I feel his benevolent presence, and I’m grateful to have this incredible opportunity to be in this sublime place.” Caroline Corbasson
The third edition of the Prix Art & Environnement will be launched on April 30, 2025.
