The Arles Youth Ballet Company’s aim is to offer a wide range of experiences to the audience, and in this show the dancers are equally at home with variations on a “classical” ballet and a neo-classical repertoire. AYBC’s aim is to convey to the audience a whole range of intense emotions: lightness, color, drama, power and, above all, the dancers’ passion for their art.
This ensemble of four pieces : “les Couleurs de l’Âme” by Norton Fantinel and Karina Moreira; “Love Fear Loss” created by Ricardo Amarante, performed by Karina Moreira and Norton Fantinel, and accompanied on piano by José Arrué; “Shimmer Simmer” choreographed by Kinsun Chan, as well as the version of “Bolero” created specifically for AYBC dancers by Julien Guérin, tackles subjects that concern us all, such as the need to connect different art forms, love-passion, nature through the impact of the changing seasons on our lives, and the drive and energy of youth.
