The man behind the Crèche Provençale at the Église Notre-Dame-la-Major in Arles is Philippe Féret. He started in 1992, and every year, with a few friends, he installs a monumental crib in the aisle of this beautiful church, with at least 750 santons, decorations teeming with details and scenes of Provencal life. The installation required 600 hours of work by 5 people.
