“The Blob, a Brainless Genius” by Jacques Mitsch
France | 2019 | 52 min | Documentary
In French
Neither animal, plant, nor fungus, the blob (Physarum polycephalum) is a giant, virtually immortal cell—devoid of a brain, yet capable of learning, solving mazes, and passing on its knowledge. A lighthearted scientific exploration of an organism that challenges our definition of intelligence.
