For the past 10 years, the ARRA Association has been developing and leading creative workshops in Arles, so that everyone can discover how to transform cardboard, paper, fabric, and thread into a beautiful, original creation.
We offer a 2-hour introductory workshop on Japanese bookbinding, a technique in which the visible stitching is an essential part of your notebook’s design.
You’ll not only be able to choose your decorative papers and fabrics, but also your threads (traditional or colored).
Our professional instructor will guide you step by step through cutting, gluing, and sewing. You’ll use traditional tools.
You’ll leave with your own personalized notebook and be able to say, “I made this myself!”
This workshop is open to children ages 6 and up and adults.
So the whole family can participate.
