At the crossroads of myth and our present, *Médée/s* explores the figure who endures, fascinates, inspires both fantasy and rejection, and continues to shake us to our core; and through her, our relationship to motherhood. Rachida Brakni gives voice to a mother on the brink of infanticide. Her narrative is constructed in fragments, in a fragmented, choppy language. Her words intertwine with those of Euripides and clash with those of a lawyer and a psychiatrist, inspired by Sofia Fischer’s documentary *Mères à perpétuité*. The performance explores this rift—intimate, social, and political. On stage, cello music and drawings accompany the spoken word, at times tearing it apart, opening up a sensitive space where body, sound, and image engage in dialogue…
