“My memory plays tricks on me. Without warning, it erases certain memories I thought were precious and chooses to retain a fleeting, almost insignificant moment. It sorts through them, retrieves bits and pieces, and discards the rest; and from this resurrected material, it crafts its narrative… In museum storage rooms, relics accumulate, just as images accumulate in the labyrinthine recesses of my brain. But there, the objects are studied, identified, numbered, and finally preserved for the future.”
*Ghosts Leave No Shards* is a theatrical excavation in which historical memory and personal memory blur. It invents an archaeology of ordinary life, where we seek out and recount what is there, yet is not always visible. It is a tribute to that slightly crazy adventure of finding new paths to connect the gaps, the holes, and the faded edges of our past.
