Hwajeon
During this workshop, participants discover the richness of Korean culinary culture by creating a fictional menu inspired by traditional dishes and desserts. They first explore various iconic Korean dishes before designing their own illustrated menu, combining graphic design, typography, and illustration. At the end of the workshop, Aomi Amae, a Franco-Japanese traveling chef, teaches 11- to 14-year-olds how to make a traditional Korean dessert, Hwajeon, a rice cake decorated with edible flowers, giving them a hands-on experience of preparing, tasting, and sharing the dish. Parents are invited to this unique afternoon snack event.
