A multidisciplinary, intergenerational festival on the theme of aging
For all ages—Free admission; some performances require tickets (see website)
“Vieille Branche” is the wonderful, grand celebration you would have loved to throw for your dear, sweet grandma, your grumpy old neighbor, or the old lady with the pigeon. It’s a joyful “invasion of seniors” for a weekend in the streets of Arles, taking various forms: performances, a dance, exhibitions, workshops, lectures, screenings, games, and more… It’s a multidisciplinary, intergenerational festival centered on the theme of aging and accessible to all audiences. It’s about talking about one age group to all age groups, building connections between different generations, and offering a chance to share life together. It’s about bringing into the spotlight those who are often overlooked and transforming this taboo subject into a joyful, gentle, and lighthearted experience!
This year, joy, laughter, and happiness will be the common thread, with a program featuring performances, a seniors’ parade, exhibits, screenings, workshops, concerts, soup contests… enough to make you lose your dentures!
Full program available on the Micro Cie website
