Exposition – OFFICE

How does reality influence art? What constitutes an image? What do we see? Using photography as their starting point, Marcel Bataillard, Kristof Everart, Benoît Grimalt, and Maxime Puglisi explore the transformations of the image. Generative artificial intelligence, painting, video, and digital interventions alter representations, blur spatial references, and challenge our perception of reality, navigating the realms of memory, fiction, and visual experience. The radically unconventional exhibition design of “OFFICE,” which eschews traditional wall-hanging, offers a sensory and immersive experience—an unstable, fragmented interpretation. An immersion that breaks with conventional exhibition norms, on view in the Off section of the Rencontres d’Arles.
