A concert featuring 2 famous composers, Mozart and Crusell, with international soloist Arthur Stockel. A mediation concert, where the pieces are presented through theatrical sketches. A concert that takes the discovery of the classical repertoire as its starting point.
Program :
– W.A Mozart Clarinet Quartet in E flat Major K380.
This quartet is based on a violin sonata by the composer. In three movements, the balance of form is perfectly suited to this formation. The movement, with its intense chromaticism, is exceptionally rich in harmony.
– Bernhard Crusell Quartet op.2.
Less famous than his predecessor, B. Crusell was nevertheless an exceptional musician: a clarinettist, he decided to write original quartets for this group. In a century dominated by the string quartet and the flute quartet, these quartets stand out for their harmonic and formal originality.
Clarinet: Arthur STOCKEL – violin: Léon AFFNER – viola: Lise GUERIN – cello: Benoit ZAHRA.
