Take advantage of the Nuit des musées d’Arles to discover or rediscover the site and its collections, as well as the many ar tistic projects developed throughout the year with the public, which will be unveiled for the occasion.
The Classroom, the Work: “The Return of Venus
Throughout the year, students in the 6e 3 class at collège Van Gogh have been immersing themselves in the history of the Venus d’Arles, creating original dioramas retracing its discovery in 1651 and its installation in the Hall of Mirrors at Versailles in the 17th century. For this Nuit des musées, they invite you to take a journey through the city, to meet the statue and their creations: passing through the Musée Réattu, the Musée départemental Arles Antique and the Museon Arlaten, you can collect photographs and put together your own photo album of the Venus d’Arles.
The Réattu Prize for emerging creation
The Young Friends of the Museum will introduce you to the winning artist of the Prix Réattu for emerging creation, revealed in April, and offer a festive moment to close the last weekend of the exhibition in style.
The Académie Réattu
Students from the “Académie Réattu”, along with Master 1 and Master 2 students from the MoPA school, will be exhibiting their finest creations inspired by the drawings and paintings of Jacques Réattu and many other artists.
All artists!
In the Commanderie Sainte-Luce, the exhibition showcases the creations made throughout the year during the various workshops run by the Public Services department. In particular, you’ll be able to discover a selection of “Keepsakes” created by participants in the teen workshop led by artist Suzanne Hetzel. And, as every year, the exhibition will run for 15 days, so you can keep the Nuit des Musées fun going!
