• Robinson Khoury – Quatuor Demi-Lune
At the heart of Quatuor Demi-Lune, music becomes a universal language and a space for transcendence. Led by trombonist Robinson Khoury, the ensemble explores a soundscape where the heritage of classical Arabic music dialogues with Bach, Purcell, Arvo Pärt, and Steve Reich.
Driven by virtuoso minimalism and an unprecedented palette of timbres, this creation combines rigor, subtlety, and inventiveness. More than a concert, it is a quest for harmony and sharing, where traditions meet and reinvent themselves, between intimacy and poetic grandeur.
On stage at Le Méjan:
– Robinson Khoury – trombone & vocals
– Eve Risser – piano, flute & vocals
– Lina Belaïd – cello & vocals
– Simon Drappier – double bass & vocals
• Kham Meslien
After twenty years with the group Lo’Jo, Kham Meslien is now exploring solo work, placing the double bass at the heart of free, instinctive, and deeply immersive music. Alone on stage, he crafts soundscapes combining compositions and improvisations, using loops, effects, percussion, and acoustic textures.
His first solo album, Fantômes…Futurs (2022), reveals a narrative and luminous universe, at the crossroads of jazz, world music, and experimentation. A renowned sound explorer, Kham Meslien has collaborated with numerous international artists and developed a melodic and introspective style that invites listening and contemplation.
