The Camargue bull, along with its companion the horse and the pink flamingo, is one of the most prized symbols of the Camargue. Today, at the heart of all our traditional festivals, it is the object of a very special cult, imbued with admiration, respect, fear and fascination… But how did this wild animal, of which traces can be found in ancient times, go from being a simple game animal, and incidentally an agricultural aid, to the star of the Camargue race, the traditional bullfighting sport practiced in a small area of southern France?
The evening ends with a friendly drink.
Meeting with Annelyse Chevalier, bullfighting columnist, naturalist guide in the Camargue and Majorale of the Félibrige.
