“Geology of Souls” evokes the idea that human souls are complex and layered, just like the geology of the Earth. Experiences, emotions and thoughts here are like geological strata, and each stratum reveals a story, a truth or a facet of the soul. The interweaving of post-colonial narratives with gender issues adds further complexity and richness to the title “Geology of Souls”. It suggests that colonial and post-colonial experiences have left deep imprints on the souls of individuals and communities, and that these imprints are still visible today.
