Michel Kélémenis took his first steps with young audiences in poetic mode, and his Amoureuse de Monsieur Muscle was a hit. Today, the choreographer reverses the roles, creating L’Amoureux de Madame Muscle, a playful, anatomical fantasy about the discovery of the body and its movement.
Set to a pop soundtrack by magician and sound director André Serré, three characters dressed in brightly colored costumes move about like a living comic strip. There’s the sensitive-hearted Lover, his flesh-and-muscle beloved, and a strange master of ceremonies with the mysterious name of Anatom’! All the ingredients are brought together for a dance that speaks to children and ingenuously enlightens them about their anatomy.
The show is a transposition of L’Amoureuse de Monsieur Muscle, created in 2008.
