Phaedra is the wife of Theseus, with whom she has a child. Theseus is away on a journey and everyone thinks he’s dead. Phaedra finds herself alone in the palace with her stepson Hippolytus, for whom she feels an irrepressible attraction.
Oenone, her Machiavellian nursemaid, urges her to give in to her desire, but when Theseus returns unexpectedly, she accuses Hippolytus of incest… His furious father curses him and he dies. Storyteller and slam artist Jaky Ido, Théramène, describes the tragedy of this love story.
