Le Blanc is a large studio with high ceilings on the first floor of the Mas de La Madeleine Arles, accessible by an outside staircase. At certain times of the year, Le Blanc is transformed into a studio for artists in residence at the Ateliers de La Madeleine.
It is composed of a large room with a bedroom area (queen size bed 160cm) and a lounge area. The studio has an adjoining shower room with separate toilet and a fully equipped kitchenette.
Le Blanc is the perfect place for a calm and cool Arlesian stay, surrounded by vegetation, while being connected to the city centre in less than 15 minutes on foot and 5 minutes by bike.
The Trinquetaille district is located just opposite the old city centre of Arles, on the other side of the Rhône. In Roman times, it was the district of the emperor and the great families. Today it is a green, quiet residential area with small shops, yet very quickly connected to the city centre.
La Madeleine Arles is less than 15 minutes walk from the Rencontres d’Arles office or the Van Gogh foundation and 5 minutes by bike!
We have a few bicycles that we make available to our guests.
You can park your car for free and easily on site.
From the train station, La Madeleine Arles is a 25 minute walk along the Rhône. You can also book a taxi or a Taco & Co bike taxi, or take the A10 bus, the “Camargue” stop is a 7 minute walk from the mas.
In each flat, you will live in contact with the works of artists we love, some of whom have come or will come to La Madeleine for a residency.
You will also find in each accommodation a small shop that we have created with local partners and producers so that you can buy products on the spot to consume immediately or bring back as souvenirs!
