THE CONCEPT
A house, a place of welcome and sharing that revolves around the arts — this is the project. Three exhibitions per year are planned, with the rest of the time serving as a space for visitors, curious minds, and artists from all over the world.
THE ART
LA CASA DELL’ARTE hosts artists from all over the world, providing them with a place to work and exhibit, to find inspiration in the city of Van Gogh and Gauguin, a cultural hub dating back to the Roman Empire. LA CASA DELL’ARTE on Rue Tardieu has everything to offer with its peaceful location, sheltered from the urban and tourist hustle, at the heart of a developing neighborhood. It is close to the vibrant Place Voltaire and just a short walk from the arenas. Its main and renewed mission is to actively participate in the city’s cultural life and contribute to the development of the triangle: Rue Voltaire, Rue Tardieu, and Rue Portagnel.
THE HOUSE
The house is both cozy and spacious: the artist studio-gallery on the ground floor allows resident artists to work, create, and exhibit their work. The space, about 30 m², is equipped with an independent toilet and professional lighting. A large window and a glass entrance door provide direct access to the studio-gallery from the outside.
On the first floor, you’ll find:
– The first double bedroom with an en-suite bathroom.
– The second double bedroom with a large custom-made dressing room and a bathroom with a shower, WC, and washing machine.
On the second floor, you’ll find:
– The open space housing the kitchen, dining room, and living room, lit by natural light from two skylights. You’ll also enjoy a wood stove for winter evenings.
The house is fully equipped:
Wifi, washing machine, refrigerator, oven, stovetop, filter coffee machine, kettle, tableware, and kitchen accessories, etc.
The house has the charm of Arlesian architecture, with its stone walls and exposed wooden beams, large windows, and a central spiral staircase. It is therefore a peaceful place, an invitation to rest and share with loved ones in the comfort of the city center. A table and two chairs in front of the entrance also allow you to linger over a coffee outdoors while enjoying the warm breeze of southern France.
Please note: The house has stairs.
