For the past 30 years, Pierre and Monique Vadon have been opening the mas to visitors in search of an encounter with the authenticity of the Camargue and nature, through horseback riding and B&B accommodation. This Camargue farmhouse has always practiced organic farming, and sheep have given way to the breeding of Camargue bulls. The walk takes place on this exceptional private territory, including natural landscapes such as the sansouïre, the marsh and the Étang de Vaccarès, which attracts over 80,000 birds a year, including the famous pink flamingos.
Le Mas also offers riding lessons and courses combining lessons and rides. Riding is a 2-hour activity in which we welcome customers in a personalized way, distributing the horses according to their experience, then we go and collect the horses from the pasture, brush them and saddle them. The tour is commented on by the instructor, who explains rice-growing, the typical breeding of bulls and horses, and the wild landscapes populated by birds. At the end of the tour, each rider unsaddles his horse, rewards him and takes him back to the meadow.
