Montmajour Abbey is participating in the 10th edition of the \u201cDans les bras du Rh\u00f4ne\u201d festival.<\/p>\n

On this occasion, discover five thousand years of interaction between humans and water in a remarkable setting. Starting at Montmajour Abbey, a guided tour narrated by two voices will take you through the millennia-old history of the Vall\u00e9e des Baux and its connections to the Rh\u00f4ne River. <\/p>\n

The history of vanished forests, medieval fisheries, and the large-scale draining of marshes and wetlands will provide a better understanding of today\u2019s challenges. Agricultural practices now intersect with the preservation of biodiversity and wetlands; a project to reorganize land use\u2014currently being developed\u2014seeks to redefine the needs and future of water in the valley.<\/p>\n
