At a time when letter-writing is becoming rarer and rarer, she reactivates an essential practice for the artist, and suggests rediscovering its freedom, intimacy and joy.<\/p>\n
All the letters received will be read by a reading committee appointed by the Vincent van Gogh Foundation. They will constitute literary and popular testimonials to the painter, whose content, scope and range we will be able to appreciate.<\/p>\n
Archived at the Foundation, they may be reproduced in a variety of ways – public readings, publications or educational and artistic projects – as part of an initiative designed to promote the discovery of Vincent van Gogh’s correspondence and, more broadly, encourage the practice of letter-writing.<\/p>\n
Anyone, of any age, can write freely, with no restrictions on theme.<\/p>\n
In order to place each letter in context, we recommend that you indicate your first name, age, town and country of residence. Anonymity remains possible.<\/p>\n
An e-mail address is strongly recommended. It can be used to send an acknowledgement of receipt and information on how the letter will be used.<\/p>\n
The writing language is free; however, only texts in French, English, Italian, German and Spanish will be accepted.<\/p>\n
Only letter format is accepted (no parcels).<\/p>\n
Letters sent by post must be duly stamped.<\/p>\n
