Deeply marked by the great periods of history, Arles has preserved some impressive testimonies: not only its historic center, but also its museums. These include the Mus\u00e9e D\u00e9partemental Arles Antique, which recreates the heritage bequeathed to us by the Romans; the Mus\u00e9e R\u00e9attu, the Mus\u00e9e des Beaux-Arts, which houses works by painter Jacques R\u00e9attu and a collection of drawings by Picasso; and the Museon Arlaten, created on the initiative of Fr\u00e9d\u00e9ric Mistral in 1899 and dedicated to the ethnography of Provence.
